Today I am trying on the NYX Cosmic Metals Lip Cream in the color Extraterrestrial. Lip creams are not meant to be worn as a long wear product. Their purpose is to provide a nourishing and moisturizing feel on the lip with a creamy mousse-like texture. With that being said, the purpose of today’s post is to test it’s wear and feel on the lip.
Upon application, the product applies thick and creamy and hugs the lip nicely. This collection has quite a few shades to choose, from nudes to bright vibrant colors. I have so many lip colors that I tend to pick up colors that are out of the box. This color is a Metallic Cammo-Green color and it is stunning. I felt that it held up okay for an hour before it started to bleed a little. Usually a lip liner will help with a bleeding issue, but I like to test products without to see how they perform on their own. There are other products and brands that I don’t need lip liners with and I like to know when I have that option in my collection. It did feel hydrating and creamy on the lip, as it should. Which is a good thing. The major wear started to take place around hour 3 when I ate dinner. Which is what you see in the next two images posted. Overall, if you are looking for a fun, affordable, trendy lip color that feels nourishing on the lip. Then this lip color is for you. Just keep in mind that you will have to wear lip liner and do a little bit of maintenance with it.

I have been trying to find an affordable liquid liner that has a range of colors other than the basic black, brown, and gray. I was a tad hesitant about NYX’s Strictly Vinyl liquid liner because their Vivid Bright liners were so flaky that I ended up chucking most of them. I enjoy the NYX Cosmetics line because they have a great range of quality cruelty free products for a great price. And Ulta does a lot of “Buy One, Get One” type discounts which makes it easy to try new products without paying an arm and a leg. It was another one of those sales that made me decide to try this liner. They have a few interesting shades to choose from and it was hard to narrow my choice down to just the one color. Ultimately, I decided upon the color Hazy. It is a deep red color that screams vamp. Right up my alley!
I can honestly say this liner performs way better than my last experience with their liquid liners. I wouldn’t say it’s your everyday liner, it does apply a tad patchy and wears after a while. The longevity just isn’t there. But, it is great product if you want to switch it up or try out a new trend. Check out the pics below to see how it wore throughout the day.

The picture below is after wearing the liner for 5 hours and through sweating in t good workout. As you can see, It started to smear and wear out near the thicker part of the wing. Not a big deal since I paid less than $5.00 after the Ulta sale.  Regular price runs around $7.99.

There are so many people out there who just put products on their face without knowing what is in that product. Just because we love the color or how it feels. I’m not going to say I’m perfect and have never done such a thing. I have worked in the makeup industry for quite some time and have always been good at making sure to pick quality products for my clients, but not for myself. I can honestly say that I’ve turned a blind eye on a few ingredients because I love the color soooo much. Two years ago, I made it a point to start paying better care and attention to the ingredients I am using. In this past two years I have come to find that it is quite hard to find a quality product that has good ingredients and that performs well.

I came across Hank & Henry while scrolling through Instagram one afternoon. Alyssa Marie Artistry was wearing their stunning Orale Lip Lustre. (She is so talented.) Of course I was hooked by color first. I immediately went to their website to order the color. SUCKER. Of course I did some reading on the brand first. I became a tad concerned about the performance of their product since it listed a bunch of great ingredients. Actually, it sounded like a dream come true. I ordered Orale at the slightly pricey cost of $17.00. The price is decent considering their products are manufactured in the U.S.

I tried it on immediately when it arrived. My first impression is that this lip product was made for me. I love everything about it. The ingredients are amazing, it’s non-sticky, smells minty, has no distinct taste, it doesn’t seep into the cracks around my lips, you cannot feel the glitter, and to top all of that, it is made in the U.S. and has the coolest packaging. I love it! I am so happy I have come across this brand. Hank & Henry has blown my mind and I cannot wait to branch out into their other products and try them. Next item on my list is their shade “Your Mom” and I’m still deciding on the color shadow I want to try.Check out my Instagram video down below to see how it applies.

This tool is a total gamechanger! I love the look of a cut crease, but it can be quite time consuming.

I was browsing on Amazon and it had this little “you might be interested” ad pop up in my feed. Aaannnnd of course I get sucked in. When I saw that this tool cost only $6.99, I thought, “Why Not?” I’ve spent way more money on other gimmicky purchases before and this would only be a $7 loss if it didn’t work out. Right? Well let me tell you, I’ve never worn so many cut-crease looks in so many days in a row before. It makes my life simple. And that is how I like to live. I would love to link this product for you, but apparently it comes in all kinds of brands and Amazon won’t pull this one back up by name. So all I can say is to look up “cut crease tool” and pick your poison.
