Finally! A palette full of shades that don’t replicate. Yes, there are shades that can be found in other palettes and that can be found in their singles, put at least they aren’t replicated within the same palette. And I cannot express enough how happy I am that they decided to put out an actual black shadow! Can we just say, “Winner winner, chicken dinner?”
Most of the shadows in the Estee Lauder Smoky Nights palette are subtle and beautiful. Quite a few shades do produce quite a bit of fallout, when applied dry. But, I didn’t really get fallout when I used a damp brush, which intensifies the colors. That’s how I intend to use these shadows.
This palette is perfect for someone who needs to add a little bit of satin and shimmer to their collection.
One more thing, it’s Limited Edition, so shop quick!
There is a guide for those who like it a little easy and don’t want to put much thought into creating a look. And each shade has a number that goes along with the guide. Shades 1,7, & 8 come off a tad chalky and take time to build. My faves are shades 2,3,4,5,6,9,10,11, &14.

16 hour wear? “I’ll be the judge of that”, I thought. Well I put this bad boy to the test and I am so glad I did. I tend to have a love/hate relationship with long wear lipsticks. They’re definitely a necessary evil for the ever busy woman who wants to look pulled together with as little maintenance as possible. My problem is that I want a lipstick that lasts all day/night and doesn’t feel dry and like I have a layer of paint on my lips. I can honestly say this lipstick is the closest that I have found to my wishes. And who knew it would be in a drugstore!
Wish Upon A Berry looks a tad cooler on the lip that it looks in the tube. It definitely has a purple mauve vibe to it, which is what I tend to grab for when shopping for lipsticks. I definitely plan to go grab more colors before their out. I might just grab a couple of extras for my professional kit too. The colors would be perfect for bridal.
Check out the video below to see me put this product to the test.

First blog post of the year! I cannot believe how fast time is flying by! Is it really already February?
I have been trying to vamp up my business advertising this year and boy has it been time consuming. So I decided, since I’m starting late with my first blog post of the year, I would make it a unique buy. So here it is! Lancôme La Rose À Poudrer.
It’s not often that you will see me running to Lancôme to purchase a product the minute I come across it’s existence. But, this highlight is not your average, run of the mill, year 2016, highlight. And…….. it’s not often that I buy something that has a unique visual package as well as amazing product quality inside. It is subtle and gives that angelic “lit from within” natural type of glow. I love it! It does pull a tad cool so I’m not sure how it will look on deep yellow skin tones. I would definitely recommend going into a store and swatching it before purchasing, if you fall into that skin tone range. And do so soon! This is a Limited Edition product. Otherwise it should be fine on most.

The product is build-able and you can also intensify the highlight with a little bit of water on the brush. And being that it is subdued in it’s wear, I imagine that it should be fine on textured and acne prone skin too. Just look at the video and see for yourself how beautiful it is!
