Browsing around ULTA Beauty the other day and this little gem caught my eye.

Of course the sparkle caught my eye, like a fish in the water. (Insert eye roll here)

I don’t have a lot of NYX lip products. The few I have are definitely a hit or miss for me. My favorite NYX Lip product is their Butter Gloss. Highly recommend you try them out! Enough about those, this is about their Lip Lingerie Glitter lip gloss. There were quite a few beautiful shades. I narrowed it down to one. “Shy” seemed like a great wearable color.

Upon opening the tube, I immediately noticed the smell. It is incredible. I cant even pinpoint it. Slightly fruity, but not an overbearingly fruity. During application it feels thick on the lip. Not thick and sticky, but thick and creamy. The color I chose looks icy. I wonder if the other colors look icy like this one or if it’s just this shade? It’s not a thin glistening glittery lip gloss like I was expecting. It actually felt like a thick, buttery liquid lipstick. If that makes any sense. And I can also feel the glitter particles in it, which I’m not a big fan of. I guess what I am trying to say is that this product is a miss for me. To be honest, I disliked the feel of it on my lip so much that I removed it immediately and I do plan to return it. Sorry NYX. As pretty as it looks, I don’t like the feel.

Have you tried this collection by NYX? If so, what are your thoughts? I’d love to hear them.

Today’s video shows you all the steps I take to create a full structured brow. My products might change, but the steps I use are fail-proof in creating a full brow that lasts all day.
I am also listing some of my favorite brow products below.

LH Cosmetics Infinity Palette (Fornax) It’s the perfect soft black for brows. Let ‘s not kid, I love the entire palette for my whole face!
MAC eye shadows (I keep a few shades in my pro kit for clients brows)

NYX Professional Makeup Eyebrow gel (old product review/comparison here)

Ulta Brow Tint
L’Oreal Brow Stylist*

I have used and loved all of Anastasia Beverly Hills brow products. Sadly, I have cut them out of my routine because all of her brow products have either parabens or soy in the ingredient list. Just for the record, I love her products so much and have quite a few beauty products that don’t have bad ingredients. I just make sure to check the ingredients before purchase.

Have any brow products you love or would like me to try? List them below.

I was recently browsing around the beauty section at Target and came across a whole area with Profusion products. They had all sorts of different styles of palettes just tempting me. I remember when I used to get their products from Walgreens and stopped using their stuff, not because of poor quality, but because of the poor ingredients. I decided to check out their ingredients now that they have resurfaced and I can say I am pleasantly surprised. No Mineral Oil , No Parabens, and Cruelty Free??? And less than $10.00? How can this be? I thought, surely they won’t wear well. So I decided to go ahead and try them out for myself. Well….retry them out.

I decided upon the Eye & Cheek palette. It has been a few days now that I’ve been trying out this palette and my thoughts are…..yes! Go buy it! It’s less than $10, stays on rather well, blends good, and can be used on multiple areas of the face. The cons: has kickback with a brush, a couple of colors don’t have good color payoff after blending, & the packaging is cheap. But again, it’s less than $10.00!!!

Side Note: I used this palette at 8am for my eye shadows, highlight, & blush. I cleaned and sweated my arse off prepping my house for a move, and got a compliment at the grocery around 7pm on my makeup. Good enough for me.

Up close and personal. Just look at how bright and beautiful the shimmer colors look. And that highlight is naturally stunning!

Finally broke out these Josie Maran Bear Naked nail wipes after stashing them in my pro kits for years. I put them in my kit for “emergency use” in case a client ever needed to remove polish last minute. I decided to clean out my kit a few months ago and threw this never used item into my travel bag. Today, in the middle of travels, I decided to remove my nail polish. I truly didn’t have high hopes for these wipes for two reasons. First, I have had them so long, I figured they’d be dried up. Second, I am big into acetone for my polish remover needs and this product is acetone free and had moisturizing/nourishing ingredients. Usually, I’m not impressed by polish removers that claim to nourish and that don’t contain acetone. Boy was I surprised! I am hooked ! I had to figure out where I could purchase them. My luck of course.

Originally I received these wipes in a packaged deal from Sephora. They no longer carry them there and I found them on Amazon.

Just for the record; It took me three pads to remove all of the red-orange polish off my toes.  It really could have been done with only two. They are also super moisturizing. My toes looked very hydrated afterwards.

I didn’t use them on my fingers but they were 5 times dryer looking before I used  the pads to remove my toenail polish. All the cleaning for my upcoming move has taken a toll on my poor hands.

Today I wanted to take you on a little tour of my first ever beauty room. I love this space so much and have always had all of my beauty products and furniture in my bedroom. I feel so blessed that to have my very own space in my home and I am very grateful for the fact that it is something that I will be able to have in my next home that we are in the middle of moving to. Let me know if you want to see that space once I get it put together!
